Glorious, 100% wool woven yardage for authentic penny rugs and traditional, primitive hooked rugs. All of our hand-dyed wool is pre-felted or fulled and ready for use.
We have been producing hand-dyed wool for rug hooking since 1981. Our quality is the best, using wool from the top sources. You will be pleased with our pricing, too!

Size information for hand-dyed, felted wool:
In the process of dyeing and felting, 100% wool shrinks somewhat. The sizes listed in this catalog are nominal (just like lumber!). Use this guide to determine how much wool you need:

Full yards = approx. 32" x 54"
Half-yards = approx. 16" x 54"
Fat quarters = approx. 16" x 27"
Fat eighths = approx. 16" x 13"
Different woolens shrink at different rates. The sizing above is approximate.

Mottling will vary over piece and with lot.
Some of our woolens are mottled single colors and some are mottled multi-colors, including spot dyes. If you would like to order your wool pre-cut into strips, please send an e-mail for information. Custom-cut strips are NOT RETURNABLE.
